Welcome to yet another chapter of the year! Let’s see what to expect in the second half of the week. 1st of all, our 6th prime minister aka Father of 1Malaysia, Dato’ Seri Mohd Najib bin Tun Abdul Razak will celebrate 100 days as PM alongside his birthday this month.
Another by-election will be held, this time in Manik Urai, Kelantan. If BN wins this election, it will be a stepping stone to recapture Kelantan from PAS in the next general election. With PAS struggling to defend the state legislative assembly seat by sympathic vote, BN is [over]confident of doing it, especially with Najib’s leadership on the people’s mind.
As of 1st September, we shall (Malaysians will) be paying more for RON97. It will be sold for RM2.00/litre compared to the current RM1.80/litre. But fret not, we’ll still have RON95 as an alternative. That will be RM1.75/litre. It is meant to replace RON92.
As we know, this year’s Merdeka celebration will be held in the middle of Ramadan, the Islamic fasting month. Shall (NOT Will) we see another double celebration, Merdeka Raya next year?
The Malaysian Budget of 2010 will be tabled for the very 1st time by Dato’ Seri Mohd Najib bin Tun Abdul Razak, since becoming the Malaysian prime minister in early April.
Enjoy the rest of the year ahead! 😀
