Shall [NOT Will] we see another city in the making? That is the question. TheSun in its report [“No Budget Hotel Ruling Crucial for City Bid”, March 5 2010] quoted its Subang Jaya Municipal Councillor as saying that there should be no budget hotel in the municipality. As the extension of the Kelana Jaya LRT line goes under way, Subang Jaya should see more development.
If it becomes a reality, Selangor will overtake Sarawak in terms of state with the most number of cities in Malaysia. The 1st city in Selangor was state capital, Shah Alam, back in 2000, followed by Petaling Jaya 6 years later. Sarawak meanwhile has two cities, Kuching and Miri.
