CMF vs WAWI for Kajang

First of all to my fellow Malaysian Muslims, let us offer doa for all the occupants on board Malaysia Airlines [MH] 370 which was reportedly missing since Saturday, 8th March 2014 [6th Jamadilawal 1435H].

Now, on to the topic. As we [or rather you] know, today marks the nomination day for the Kajang state legislative assembly by-election [N.25(B)]. Two veterans are up for this challenge. They are Datin Paduka Chew Mei Fun, former Petaling Jaya Utara Parliamentarian and the vice-president of MCA, representing BN, and Datuk Seri Wan Azizah binti Wan Ismail, PKR founding president. This by-election was called following the sudden resignation by Lee Chin Cheh.

The conviction of Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim on Friday, 7th March 2014 is still fresh on our mind. With his conviction of half decade imprisonment for sodomy of his former assistant, Mohd Saiful Bukhari bin Azlan 6 years ago, the Pakatan circle had unanimously picked his wife, Datuk Seri Wan Azizah binti Wan Ismail. I am sure they [Pakatan] will do anything they can to save Anwar and prove to him that he is innocent. Infact, he was the one behind the so-called ‘Kajang Move’, in his bid to be Selangor MB should he win and defend the seat. As for Chew, the Barisan candidate, she will hone her experience as PJU parliamentarian to serve this Satay Town. With Visit Malaysia 2014 currently taking place, she will further be the tourism ambassadress.

The polls will be held on Sunday, 23rd March. As March is declared as the International Month of Women, it is going to be ‘Girl Power’ in Kajang. My prediction is a ratio of 85:15 (Chew : Azizah).
